Dr. Steve Calder

Dr. Calder knew he wanted to help others in the healing arts from a young age. He received his Bachelor of Science degree with Great Distinction and an Honor’s Thesis in stroke research. He received federal funding for his work at The Canadian Centre for Behavioural Neuroscience in Lethbridge Alberta prior to attending dental school. He received his Dental degree from the University of Alberta in 2006 and has been in private practice ever since. He and Connie are the proud parents of 5 children and enjoy all the Okanagan has to offer together.

Dr. Calder is an avid golfer and enjoys cooking in his spare time. Quail Ridge Dental is the result of he and Connie’s vision for providing a space and philosophy that is safe and warm. They look forward to welcoming you and having you join the Quail Ridge Family!

Tasha

With a passion for dentistry and enjoyment of her career caring for patients, Tasha brings ten years of dental experience to Quail Ridge Dental. She was born and raised in the Okanagan and graduated as a Certified Dental Assistant from the College of the Rockies in Cranbrook. Tasha can be found everywhere in the clinic. From assisting Dr. Calder to treatment coordinating and scheduling appointments for patients with her bubbly personality and ready smile. 

Tasha loves to spend her time hiking and paddleboarding with her boyfriend and two energetic labs who adore the outdoors as much as Tasha does. She does a great job of balancing her life and work, always making time for her friends and family and living life to the maximum.

Sharon Mair

Originally from Ayr Scotland, Sharon moved to the Okanagan from the Coast to enjoy the Okanagan lifestyle. This bright smiling face brings thirty years of experience to Quail Ridge Dental. You will always be greeted with professionalism and happiness by Sharon upon your arrival. She will help you with all of your insurance questions and assist you with booking your dental hygiene appointments helping you take the best care possible of your oral hygiene. 

Sharon is a mom of three beautiful children and is excited to have her first grand baby on the way! In her spare time, you will find Sharon enjoying all that the Okanagan has to offer. From the rail trail to the Vineyards, Sharon is always chasing the sunshine on her bike and climbing high, hiking with her husband, many friends and family. 

Grace Couves

Originally from Vancouver Island, Grace moved to the Okanagan four years ago to attend Okanagan College and graduated as a Certified Dental Assistant. Her passion for dentistry developed at a young age as she watched her mom thrive in her career as a Certified Dental Assistant. After graduating from college, Grace loved the Okanagan so much, she decided to call it home. 

With her lovely smile and calm personality, Grace can help even the most anxious patients feel at ease. Grace has many roles in the clinic, from assisting Dr. Calder with his procedures, to working in the lab on crowns, nightguards and clear aligner therapy. She is a girl of many talents. 

Grace enjoys spending time with her family in her down time. You will find her hiking, biking, skating, sleeping and crafting! She loves it all!

Gagan Khera

Gagan comes to Quail Ridge Dental with over 10 years experience.

Her expertise and experience aid in providing high quality care for her patients. With her thorough yet gentle touch, she is committed to making your hygiene appointments a comfortable experience. 

Gagan just recently moved to Lake Country from Edmonton, Ab. She enjoys playing volleyball and hiking. She is looking forward to establishing a family here and taking advantage of all that the Okanagan has to offer. 

Megan Lamoureaux

Megan was born and raised in northern Alberta. She has had a passion for dentistry since she was young and knew she wanted to be a dental hygienist since she was 12 years old.

Megan embarked on her dental schooling journey straight out of high school which brought her to the beautiful Okanagan. She possesses a remarkable talent for connecting with our patients. Her passion lies in making every individual who walks through our doors feel not only seen but warmly embraced. With Megan, you are guaranteed to experience a warm and friendly welcome.

When Megan is not taking care of patients at the clinic, you will find her hitting the slopes up at Big White, hiking, paddle boarding with her dog and spending time with her fiancé. 

Ashley Rains

Ashley is the most recent addition to the team at Quail Ridge Dental. She grew up in Abbotsford, lived in Kelowna for several years and then moved to Vernon where she now resides with her boyfriend and two dogs, Lenny and Sadie. 

Ashley attended MTI College where she completed her Certified Dental Assistant diploma with honors in 2013. Her favorite area to work in is surgical dentistry, and she relishes the opportunity to connect with her patients and exchange life stories in the ops.

In her free time, Ashley is passionate about playing competitive sports including Fastball which she started playing at the age of 4. She was a catcher and clean-up hitter, and her team went on to place 3rd in the British Columbia Summer Games in 2003. During high school, Ashley participated in the baseball academy, receiving an athletic fastball scholarship to play in Kansas. She also enjoys curling and golf, camping, floating down the river with friends, and taking her dogs for walks or to the dog park.
